Title: Exploration chemical components of halal materials that benefits to hair cosmetics in the book of Al-Qanun Fi’l-Tibb II
Al-Qanun Fi`l Tibb II is a book of material medical works by Ibn Sina which is famous in the world. This study aims to determine the main chemical components contained in plants that are benefits to hair cosmetics in the book Al-Qanun Fi'l Tibb II and to determine the characteristics of the secondary metabolite components on their activity as hair cosmetics in the book Al-Qanun Fi'l Tibb II. The research was conducted in a descriptive qualitative manner by means of a literature study (library research). A total of 32 plants have been described as having benefits to hair cosmetics, in which the major component of secondary metabolites are terpenes, phenolic acids, flavonoids, fatty acids, tannins, alkaloids, saponins, quinones, and phenyletanoid glycosides. Terpenes are the most chemical components in plants. The chemical components contained have activities as hair cosmetics such as hair dye, anti-melanogenesis, antiandrogenic or prevent hair loss and promote hair growth, hair tonic, antioxidant, hair cleansing conditioner, and hair growth inhibiting activity.
